Setting up work orders is an essential part of managing your production pipeline in Roofr. Work orders help eliminate scope disputes, ensure accurate installations, and minimize risk of fraudulent activity. With clear documentation of the agreed upon scope, you can work confidently and keep everything running smoothly.
How to Manage Roofr Work Orders
1) Create Work Order
From the selected Job Card click +Work Order
Work Orders can also be created from the Work Orders section
Select your line item sources
‘Labor’ and ‘other’ line items from selected proposals will be included
All line items from selected material orders will be included
💡 Material line items from the associated proposals can also be added with one-click after creation
2) Customize Work Order
Line items can be edited, deleted or added as needed
Add photo attachments (optional)
Add the associated measurement report (optional)
Add instructions manually or from an existing template
Current instructions can be saved as template for future use
View related documents by clicking links in the top right of the page
Add the contact who will receive the work order (Crews only available on Roofr Elite)
Check Create event when sent to automatically add an install event to your Roofr calendar when sending this work order (Only on Roofr Elite)
Click Send and select email or text (if applicable)
Edit the details and click Send to deliver
Translate your Work Orders to Spanish before sending:
Click Send on the Work Order
Check the box to Translate to Spanish
From the job card you can:
View/change the status of the work order (draft, sent, in progress, completed)
View the work order to edit
Download or delete the work order (from the … options menu)
💡 If linked with suppliers, Roofr automatically updates order status on the material order and emails the job assignee when suppliers send updates.
