How to set up your Roofr Site

💡This setup will compile all of the information needed to build the basics of your site. You update the look, feel, content and details of your site anytime after setup

  • Choose whether to import info from an existing website or start fresh by selecting I’m new to this

  • Sign in with your Google Business Profile to pull in your details

    • Or, enter your contact info manually

  • Add your business hours

  • Add the services you offer, type them in or pick from the list

  • Select the service areas you cover

  • Upload your business logo

    • Specify whether it's on a light or dark background

  • Enter your brand colors or choose from the available options

  • Add your trust badges

    • Emergency services, licenses, etc

  • Fill in your years in business, team details, response promise, and safety certifications

    • Skip any you want to come back to later

  • Click Generate my site and give it a moment to build

  • Answer the questions about your business for more personalization


How to use the Roofr Sites Settings Editor

  • Click the Settings cog icon to open the settings menu.

    • Preferences: auto-approve rules for publishing and posts, choose whether addresses are required on forms, and configure SMS compliance.

    • CTA: Add an external link as your call to action. For example, drop in your Instant Estimator link.

    • Analytics: Connect your Google Analytics, Search Console, and Business Profile to track traffic and performance, and pull in your business details automatically.

    • Domain: Configure your custom domain to take your site live. Every domain provider is a little different — check yours for specific setup instructions.

  • To edit any info from your initial setup, click your logo in the bottom left corner of the editor

  • Make your changes, click Save


How to use the Roofr Sites Style Editor

  • Click the Style icon to open the style menu

  • In Style Families, choose the overall feel of your site

    • Local Pro, Clean & Sleek, or Skyline.

  • In Look, select a light or dark background for your site

  • In Color, enter your brand colors manually or use the color palette sliders

  • In Typography, adjust the look and feel of your site's text

  • In Section Editor, customize the layout of each section individually

    • Use the arrows to toggle between sections

    • The active section will have a green outline

    • Use the left and right arrows to explore all style options for each section

  • Use the spacing tools to adjust the padding above and below each section

  • Click the Expand icon to preview your site


How to fine tune your Roofr Site

  • To replace an image, click on it

    • Choose from the AI-generated collection or upload your own

  • To edit copy, type a request in the prompt box to open the AI chat

  • Use the chat to request copy changes across your site

    • The AI will make the updates and ask you to accept or discard them

  • Use the chat to add context, details, or accreditations to your pages

    • The AI will verify facts and follow up if it needs anything extra, like links or ID numbers

  • Review all edits before accepting

    • Roofr Sites will always ask before locking in any changes


How to publish your Roofr Site

  • Once your design is done and you have a domain secured, click Publish

  • Confirm your domain

    • You won't be able to move forward without one

  • At any point in the publishing flow, open the Roofr Sites AI chat for help

  • Connect your domain to your Roofr Site

    • The AI will provide recommended steps based on your domain provider

  • Go to your domain provider's platform and follow the steps to set up your DNS records

    • Click I've added them when done

  • Once your DNS records are set up, your Roofr Sites will be connected to your domain

    • This can take up to 30 minutes, check the box to get an email notification when it's live

  • Connect to Google Search Console to enable search traffic, keyword ranking, and performance tracking

    • You may be asked to reconnect to verify your domain

  • Optionally, connect Google Analytics for deeper traffic insights

  • Click Finish to complete setup

💡 How to edit your Domain Name Servers in:

💡If you have domain-based email, you will need to perform a DNS backup of your zone files to ensure that your emails will not be impacted when your Roofr site goes live.


How to manage Roofr Sites Reports

  • Click the Data icon to open your Roofr Sites overview

  • Use the date dropdown to set your reporting window

    • The overview page will show key metrics for that period, including leads received and your Google search performance

  • Click the button to view a breakdown of all leads received

  • Use the month dropdown to pull up a detailed monthly report, which includes:

    • An at-a-glance summary

    • A breakdown of your performance metrics

    • Details on leads brought in through your site

    • Updates and changes in your geographical market

    • Roofr Sites autopilot revisions

    • Suggestions for improvements going forward


How to use Roofr Sites Autopilot

💡Autopilot keeps roofing websites accurate, relevant, and aligned with homeowner expectations. It scans the web for signals that influence how homeowners shop for roofing services. Based on what it finds, it recommends updates to your website to help keep the content competitive, trustworthy, and aligned with local demand.

  • You’ll see a notification in the site editor and receive an email notifying you of suggested changes

  • Click Review My Site

    • The sidebar will display all pending Autopilot changes

  • Choose to Apply the Change to move forward, or Discard the Change to skip it

    • After selecting Apply the Change, the editor will show you the specific updates and where they'll appear on your site

  • Click the purple View option beside each change to see a before-and-after comparison

  • After reviewing the before-and-after, choose to Accept the change or Discard
